About Us
The Church of Works is exactly that,
a church that does the works.
We are not just a church of words, we are a Church of Works, which means actually making an impact on society in meaningful and measurable ways.
We are the new generation of Church. We have left behind the old, (and sometimes new) but always worn, tired, and very misguided ideas of browbeating, fear-mongering, prosperity preaching, "Here is a show so send us your dough" ways, and have instead built a new way with love, understanding, forgiveness, service, community, and works at our core.
We believe in spreading hope, not just by word, but by deed.
We believe in man's ability to change and better his conditions, and we are here to help facilitate that.
Jesus said, "Spread the word and heal the sick."; and that is what we strive to do. We have a video series on God's Medicine where we teach people how to effectively use God's Natural Medicines to heal the body, mind, and spirit.
"Their fruit shall be for food and their leaves for healing".
We believe every Church should have a Council of Elders who teach the younger generations how to be healed with God's Medicines, and we will happily assist any Church that wants to set up such a Council and learn how to use God's Medicines to heal.
We also have a Dedicated Food Forest to benefit the community, and will be adding more in the future at other locations.
We will soon be planting our first food trees and plants at the local Fire Departments (spring 2019) and will be adding other public places in the future as a part of our Grow Food Everywhere efforts, and we even have some desert acreage that we intend to green up with a Food Forest.
We also support other charities which make huge impacts on society, like Water Is Life and Little Dresses for Africa. These are charities that are run by people who do not usurp the monies for large salaries or personal gain, but rather support themselves through other means and take nothing from the charity funds.
We also will be doing lectures, seminars, workshops and classes on everyday things of use to people, like law, finance, living skills, etc.
We are an all volunteer staff, and 100% of all donations and funds raised go directly toward Church projects, activities, and expenses only.
We believe we are accountable for our stewardship.
We believe people should see something for the tithes they pay other than a preachers lavish lifestyle that it is paying for. Our Pastor/Senior Minister had personal financial security before the formal founding of this Ministry, and maintains such even today. In fact, the Ministry has been wholly funded by the Pastor from inception until recently when it was made clear that this could not continue and the Ministry must fund itself.
We believe in the laws of the universe and the laws of exchange.
We welcome everyone of every faith, and we accept truth wherever we find it whether that be in nature, in ancient texts, modern texts, or even written on our own hearts.
We believe that everyone can contribute and everyone has something they can add to make the world a better place.
There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about us. We hope you will find something that helps you or that you find interesting or worthwhile, and that perhaps you will join in some of our activities or projects.
Enjoy our site and be sure to share your
thoughts and ideas with us.
Jesus said "If they do not listen to you they are not your people, those that listen to you are your people."
Although we do not at this time have a formal membership, we do consider that those who listen to and hear our messages, and those who look at and see our works, are indeed, our people, so feel free to jump on in and get involved, we would love to have you!
